Laser hair removal

What does it involve?

Laser hair removal is now established as one of the best methods for permanent hair removal. Thanks to its targeted action, the diode laser works to eliminate hair permanently.

Laser treatment for permanent hair removal is based on “selective photothermolysis”.
 
The laser generates one-directional, monochromatic light waves with a single wavelength of about 808 nm, starting a process in which the light energy is absorbed directly by the melanin of the hair, permanently destroying the hair follicle in its active (anagen) phase.
 
Diode laser treatment can be used for permanent hair removal on all skin types, including darker ones, up to phototype 6.
 
It is a treatment that almost anyone, women and men, can have on almost every area of the body: popular areas include the bikini line and, for men, the chest and back, but also the legs, underarms, arms, back, upper lip and chin.
 
It is also very effective for ingrown hairs.

Laser hair removal: how many sessions?

The number of sessions always varies depending on the type of hair and skin and on the area being treated.
 
After the first few sessions the hair is already much thinner, regrowth slows down considerably and the hair is finer and weaker.
 
Another result of laser hair removal is that, at the end of the treatment, the skin is much smoother.

The difference between epilation and depilation

What really distinguishes the two treatments is the final result. With depilation the hair is cut at skin level, as with a razor or hair removal cream. With epilation the action goes deeper, removing the hair together with its bulb from the root, permanently.

SHR technology

SHR stands for Super Hair Removal, a highly successful permanent hair removal technique.

It combines the experience of laser technology with the advantages of pulsed light in a single system. The result is excellent, with no complications and no pain.

Even blonde or partly white hair, which until now was difficult or impossible to remove, can finally be treated.

 
Unlike laser or IPL hair removal, with the new SHR technology the hair follicles are heated gradually with a high pulse repetition rate but lower peak energy, and removed permanently.
The new “in Motion” system is an important step forward in permanent hair removal with pulsed light. Thanks to the cooling system built into the applicator, the treatment is much more comfortable than conventional systems such as IPL, laser or needle epilation, and the skin is better protected.
So there is no need for the painkillers or numbing creams used with conventional permanent hair removal systems.
