Electrocardiogram
The electrocardiogram is a simple, quick and non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart.

During the test small adhesive electrodes are applied to the chest, arms and legs.
The electrodes pick up the electrical activity generated by the heart and send it to a device that records it as a trace made of waves and intervals, representing the different phases of the heartbeat.
The cardiologist’s reading of the trace can identify even minor abnormalities.
