Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic test that assesses the electrical activity of the muscles and of the nerves that control them. What is it and how does it work
Electromyography records the electrical signals that muscles produce both at rest and when they contract.

Preparing for the test
Electromyography requires no particular preparation: you only need to avoid creams or lotions on the skin on the day of the test, as they could interfere with the electrodes.
